Retina Z2 Install

Hi all,

So until a new Kickstart version arrives, I decided to try installing the original Retina-23.dms software from the Amiga Hardware Database. I first converted the dms to an adf file. I have tried to install the software from both my WB and Work folders. In both instances the attached error appears:

Are you still running Kick 2.0 and WB 1.3? Readme from Retina-23.dms says that it needs the OS 2.0 or newer.

You might want to go to 2.1 software if running 2.0 ROMs. It will more closely resemble modern AmigaOSes. 2.05 and older are kind of in-between 1.3 and 2.1 with some common concepts missing (such as the devs/storage directory structures) that some installer scripts take for granted.

Thanks Jope. I assume WB 3.1 will not work with a Kickstart 2.04?

True, it will not work properly under the older ROM.

Thank you all...I managed to complete the installation and now have an output on my card.
Does anybody know if there is a tool that can tell me how much RAM I have on the card?

Probably fastest is to just look at the card. Of course this won't indicate whether all of it is detected.
