Following on from this thread: Heart of Darkness - Amiga port possible?.

I believe I've now set up this game with the best possible options

Phew; that was a lot of messing about / testing / perfecting etc...

Anyway, if you want to give this a try then please just download / extract this archive into "C:\WinUAE"

It works ok, though the ingame gfx seem to not be centered and alligned to the left?

Absolutely nothing I can do about that...

It's how the game has been ported; and you cannot change horizontal centering with "RTG"...

Absolutely nothing I can do about that...

It's how the game has been ported; and you cannot change horizontal centering with "RTG"...

HAHAhaha I don't use pi never have for years...

I know you spend hours and hours on end until you get it right...

I wasn't sure if the misalignment was an issue at my end or not.

Whatever your "Ultimate xxx Collection" is called these days; or indeed any other projects you've created where you use my .HDFs etc. without credit / acknowledgement to me I might add... not to mention Retroplay who assists you also

I have over 3k of HDF's which are converted from RP's lha's which are made entirely by me. Spent over 2 years on those.

Heart of Darkness? I just happen to have my Win CD right next to me as I wanted to try this game again since I last played it so many years ago (included 3D glasses still intact!). Not quite how I remembered it though. I also tried the PS version on an emulator and I am starting to see why Jirard (The Completionist) and Caddicarus don't like the game.

Well, thanks to Arti and DamienD I get to try it again even if it isn't a unique Amiga version.

Yes, you've spent time creating simple bare-bones / self-booting WHDLoad .HDFs.

Are you forgetting that you couldn't work out how to do this; and I had to write step-by-step instructions for you...

If the comment came across ungrateful then I apologise, after all people I would never do that. I was more confused as to why it was positioned to the left and wondered if it was probably my poor pc setup that was causing it.

As for my HDF's (Yes all 3,553) that I have made from bare bones. Yes of course I used your tutorial on how to make these. Its one I trusted from Day 1 and still do. And at all times I have shared my HDF's i have mentioned your name and thanked you public.

Fast forwarding though I wish I never done that as 3 different projects I worked on that included my Amiga work i've done over the last 10 years and all my HDF's have been used by others to make $$$ on.

Since I learnt this I have immediately cut ties and removed myself from all 3 major connections I had with these abnormal people.

For the people that know me, know that I do what I do with amiga for passion like yourself. So hopefully we can shake on it and move forward

I've updated the following:

• Use of the latest "hode_ix.zip" version of the game.
• Installed the WinUAE AHI driver and set "UAE : 16 bit HIFI Stereo++ 44100 Hz".
• Changed the config to use DirectX11; as this fixes slight sound issues on my laptop.
• Took better title / sshots, which are in the correct aspect ratio.
• Added the "HeartOfDarkness_Walkthrough.txt" file into the <gamedir>.

So, just download / extract this archive into "C:\WinUAE"

Bah, I've made another addition to the "Heart of Darkness" setup.

I found a "setup-cfg" file that allows you access to all levels / sections

This has now been added. To select level / section, go to "Options" --> "Load Game".

So, just download / extract this archive into "C:\WinUAE"

Ok, hopefully the final change to "Heart of Darkness"

I was playing "Level 4 - Space Island" this afternoon but it was impossible, and you needed quicker reflexes than a ninja. See this thread for more details.

Anyway, have now adjusted "frame_duration=70" and all is good.

So, please just download / extract this archive into "C:\WinUAE"
