WHD will not load games after install of accelerator card
Hi all,
I hope someone can help this is driving me crazy. I picked up one off those CF HD full off games for my A1200 now because I only had 2 meg of ram most off the games would not work but with some fiddling some did. I then picked up a PCMCIA tranfer kit and installed the drivers for that on the CF HD (it is split in to 3 parts WB GAMESI, GAMESII). I then took the plunge and picked up a ACA 1230-28 card from amgia kit, I have the jumper set to kick 3.0 (thats what my rom is 3.0), I also installed the ACATune software so the amiga would pick up the right amount off ram (64meg). However now when I go to play ANY game all I get is a black screen with some gfx errors then if I wait long enough the red box with click left mouse button. This is drving me nutz I picked up this card so I could play some game now I cant run any !!! any ideas people Cheers Rocky A1200 CF HD 4gig ACA1230-28 card Kick 3.0 PCMCIA Transfer kit |

Have you tried the tooltypes NOMMU and NOAUTOVEC they were required for my MBX1230 card so perhaps they are needed for the acacard too?

No, the ACA 1230 needs no extra tooltypes. Is the Max Transfer (HDTools) set to 1fe00? And another important question: Is there a pirated WHDLoad.key installed? Black screens and gurus are typical signs for it. Check the c:, s: or l: folder and delete it.

I am now off to reg whd load. I guess that is what I get for buying on ebay. Thanks again all long live the amiga

Would be nice if you could inform Wepl/Bert (the author of WHDLoad) where you bought that CF card.
