I just found a disk called "Hawaiian Odyssey" Scenery Adventure. Not sure if it classifies as a game but it's not on SPS list. I could make an SCP image of it if required?

Just to clarify... is this list found on the CAPSDI site up to date?

http://capsdi.free.fr/2018-12-22_Missing.txt

I have a few of the games in my collection but I don't know how to differentiate between the various versions e.g. MaupitiIsland_3631 is needed, but there are several versions of it already MaupitiIsland_1362, MaupitiIsland_2039 and MaupitiIsland_2070.

I suppose for what it's worth, if there is no alternative, and you're happy to put in 'unofficial' release, I could get them dumped.

No, it's not up to date.

From a quick look some of these have now turned up.

1362 = German
2039 = French
2070 = English

If I post my missing list (haynor666 missing not included), could someone then zone the missing one's in my list in the zone so that I'm up to date?

TIA.

Have you checked on the EAB File Server under the following directories Arnie?
... /Commodore_Amiga/TOSEC/[not in TOSEC] IPFs - Official
... /Commodore_Amiga/TOSEC/[not in TOSEC] IPFs - Unofficial

Hi D,

Yeah got those (although I'm not using the unofficial ipf's).
I've also leached the Tosec set from the server and I have the Caps set.

I have around 29 missing.

@Arnie - what is the MIA list?

Also since the website is not up to date, is the torrent file being updated to reflect the new finds or is @haynor666 uploading these elsewhere e.g. EAB server?

Some of the IPFs in your list overlap with Haynor's MIA list and are not available anywhere (e.g. [2758] Flowers of Crystal). The remainder on your list should be included in the 2018 TOSEC updates for SPS images on the FTP server:

It's my own terminology. MIA = Missing in Action.

I don't know about the torrent file ,but i did get some new ones out of the 2018 torrent.

Thanks for all the help. I'm now up to date, 15 to go.

Interesting... where is the updated list of all available and are these on EAB server?

Also, Flowers of Crystal has an IPF but not public release? If so, those with SPS could release it lol.

So has Amber[2287]...but it's still MIA.

I don't know if there is an up to date list. I used http://www.softpres.org/games to find out how many games there were and then searched everywhere for the IPF's.

The EAB server is a good place to start and also the caps torrent has over 3000.

How does one assess whether version is different? I have many originals but I see all are already in the SPS. I'm not sure if the same is true for applications as I've only cross referenced some of the games.

Not sure there is one good answer for this one. For Gold of the Aztecs, I wrote the WHDLoad installer for it and discovered the differences when testing the installer with my disks I purchased. When looking at the code the offsets of the patches were all different and there was a version number that stated version 1.1 rather than 1.0 like the SPS release. There isn't always going to be a version number specified in the code. When playing from disk I noticed the game started with more lives than the SPS version.

Other ways:
NTSC/PAL
Different disk format (Gladiators)
Game differences (music/graphics/gameplay/etc.)
Number of disks

Hi, I checked your dumps.

Downhill challenge is good so IPF, and gold of the aztecs as well.

For this last one, did you noticed it has on disk 1 the protoscan longtrack protection? This in track 79.

It doesnt initialise at the start, so I guess a routine for checking is triggered later. I pmed you.
