If it's immediately after you begin a game then it may be a bad Agnes, otherwise it happens well into a game or after the machine has been on for a while it may be heat related.
I still use my Amigas, an A500, 2 A1200s for playing back demos and 2 A4000s for learning about programming the Amiga. I never quite finished the first time around, but this time I will.

thanks for the reply,
the corrupted blocks appear as soon as most games begin moving(scrolling) and remain until switch off.not heat related.
nice to see amigas still being used.i have most consoles etc,but the amiga has an atmosphere and quality all to its own and will always remain special even when im old and grey.
see ya.

I still use my 500(s), because to me emulation is just not the real thing. As for your 1200 problem, does it do that on all games or on some?

Oscar is right, probably an Agnes (what is its AGA name? Lisa?) problem.

I still have my 040/40 1200. Right now, I'm in the process of moving, so it's idling.

I have an A1200 and A500 setup, and an A600 standing around. Sadly enough though I haven't found enough time for gaming lately (even though it's autumn break from school).

Cool On the attic

I still own my 1mb Amiga 500 I bought all those years ago. The machine settled in my bedroom at my parents' house until August last year. Since I left the house, the machine is put in a box and put away on the attic. I have turned to Amiga lamulation (as Akira would put it ) which has one big advantage: I don't have to fiddle through tens of discboxes anymore to find a specific game to load up.

Of course I still use my Amiga(s). I try to keep my main A1200 as up-to-date as possible.

I have 2 well-loved A500 veterans in semi-retirement. I will probably never throw them away - how could I? Machines on which I first played Lemmings, Speedball 2, Lotus, Sensi Soccer, IK+ ...

I have owned all these machines since the Amiga was king. And they still have more class than all the PC clones that have come and gone in that time. 286, anyone? 100MHz Pentium? Plenty of chumps at the time thought they were worth buying. Ha.

Hell yeah I'm running my old Miggy...but when I get time, which is barely ever nowadays. I still use my old Amiga 500, mostly for playing games, because I'd rather play them this way then on an emulator. It's just a more genuine sensation...

I refused to pay through the nose for accelerators then, and I still refuse now.

I never knew of Accelerator cards for Amigas before until I got an Amiga 2½ years ago.

I'd like one, but they're a bit expensive, and I don't have a credit card to buy online with.
