CD32 Compilation on A1200
Hello,
i have just tried a cd32 compilation ( called cd32-200 ) on a cd32 and i have found it to be very very good. All games are "plain" games, not cdrom ones, as far as i have tried. I would like to know if it's possible to copy it to a secondary partition ( i have one with 2gb free ) and make it work on a plain 1200, and choose what partition to boot from at startup. In order to prepare everything, since i don't have an Amiga Cdrom, i would think about Winuae. Thank you in advance. |

Tried myself transferring after having extracted files from the iso, and choosing dh1 in the early startup sequence.
Quite happy . I have just tried New Zealand Story and works . Edit: now i have restarted winuae and doesn't work anymore... don't know why. I obtain only a mouse pointer shaped as "Cd 200", a black screen and nothing else... Last edited by mtb; 11 November 2010 at 19:18. |

If you delete System-Configuration from Devs folder you can see whats going on. Depending on where you got the image consider registering WHDload |

Something changed, but it still doesn't work. Better to play directly on cd32.
Thank you anyway! |

CD32-200 was compiled using WinUAE using Amiga 1200 emulation (CD32 wasn't emulated back then). The compilation will work on an A1200 but you need to put the CD32-200 files on the primary partition and use the other partition to boot from if you don't want to play the games. Also you will need to label the primary partition to match the CD32-200 volume label (I can't remember what it was).
There will be a small amount of CD32 games that won't work on an A1200 but the majority are WHDload installs and they will work fine. |
