Yellow be gone!
This used to be such a nasty shade of yellow... I was going to chuck it, but I didn't have the heart to, so I sprayed the yellow bugger!

The keyboard is a real problem... Did anybody ever try to MASk all the letters and try to spraypaint it? It would be a helluva job but it might end up being nice...
However, just imagining the size of the masks gives me a headache |

Or paint each one by hand too... Still masking of course. I think I'll try that with a spare C64 I have...

Or spray the keys and then get some alphabet stickers and put them on the keys

@ shatterhand: It's a Chinese newspaper.
I've also sprayed a breadbox C64... I'm going to steal the white keyboard off one of my C64C's for this one. (btw it looks silver, but it's a blue/silver colour) |

Hey SID, how did you take the LED ot of the breadbin? Mine is stuck with some plastic that I have to break if I want to remove the LED. Or at least I think I need to break it!
I want to replace that dull LED with a high-brilliance blue LED or something like that |

What like this u mean? I finished my C64, as you can see... It's got a new motherboard inside too.
It's pretty difficult to remove the LED, I'm not sure how I did it! I'm gonna post this pic over to lemon as well, They'll either love it or hate it! |

Wow! that is good spraying sah
I modded an a1200 back along! i took a busted black cdtv keyboard and took the keytops off! then i swapped the yellowed keys off the a1200's keyboard with the black ones! some black spray paint on the 1200's case finished the look *i havent got any pics sorry it was done when digicams were far too expensive and i didnt own one! MOS-6581 do you mind me posting your pics on a pc hardware forum? their case modding section would love to see your work! that blue led on the c64 is spot on |
