Game will continue loading and show the main menu. However, I guess you are trying with 2MB Chip only? Game seems to need some fast memory as well, it works then.

Weird, doesn't happen for me... just sits there on the title screen; no disk acitivity.

Using Quckstart "A1200 - 2MB Chip & 4MB Fast RAM" in WinUAE v3.6.1

I'm using WinUAE 3.60 and it works for me. I'll check with 3.61 later (need to download it first).

Winuae 3.1.0, A1200 config, 68020 and 2MB chipmem alone : title screen and music, then DF0 stopped at track 23 without any more activity. No amount of mouse clicks or keyboard hits have any effect.

Same version, with 68030 and 16MB Z3 fast : game goes direct to menu even before the title music has ended. Appears to work ok.

Note : all 4 disks are in drives in both cases.

This is exactly what happens to me

Tested under WinUAE v3.6.1 and now v3.6.0...

I thought you are using a config with fast memory? Game works for me if there's at least 1 MB fast, with chip mem only it won't continue after the title screen. I've now also tested on 3.61.

Right, this is not a matter of Winuae version. Just add some fastmem like I did, and you're done.

Yes I am, testing using Quckstart "A1200 - 2MB Chip & 4MB Fast RAM".

When I said "This is exactly what happens to me" I meant the same scenario as meynaf i.e. "Title screen and music, then DF0 stopped at track 23 without any more activity. No amount of mouse clicks or keyboard hits have any effect."

Try this: use Meynaf's original version and wait until the protection screens appears. Then press Shift+F12 to open the WinUAE debugger and type fi 0b19. Then type anything and press return, UAE will open the debugger. Type a pc+2 and press enter. Type nop, press enter 2 times and leave debugger with g. What happens once you press return, game still stuck?

Looks like I was really lucky everytime I tried it! Wow!

As for requiring Fast RAM, the Crystal version doesn't. I was using the A1200 Quickstart config (2mb chip) and it worked.

Are you 100% certain it's required, StingRay?

I have created 2 new versions, both work without fast memory, manual check will be cracked on the fly. One version completely skips the protection screen, the other one requires you to type anything at the protection screen.

Please try the attached disk images.

This is great. I'd love to see more of this. Maybe an organised website of patches.

Essentially an update to the Amiga Patch List. Great for learning!

Now for the final question; if I was to install this to hard drive using the native installer will the crack still work?

Also, HOL notes for this game need to be updated to include: International Open Golf Championship [AGA]

Code:
HD notes HD install is on disk 1.
