SEGA CD / MEGA CD Question

does anyone know if Sega CD (US) games work on a PAL Mega-CD?

No they don't. I think you have to mod something for them to run.

there is an action replay cart that lets you play import games....they sometimes pop up on ebay but usually go for quite a high price..£25ish

You can make an iso of the game and then patch, with a program called SCDConv, it to become a euro version. burning the iso should fix the problems

Yep, you may use SCDConv, BUT .... many games refuse to work properly after patching (sound hangs, game crashes etc.)

I tried with about 7 games and only 2 work without a problem on my PAL MegaCD II

But most games appear on EBay anyway, and they aren´t too expensive (PAL Versions)

okay, another question then....

do mdcd games have copy protection, seeing as we are talking about ISOs

Nope CD Burners weren´t very popular back then

But as you might guess allready, there´s a kind of country code on that CD´s
