differences a1200 vs cd32 ?

hello guys is there other differences between the cd32 and the 1200 than AKIKO,roms and the cd-rom ?
I mean speed bus or else ???

I think they are very similar, the ROM is probably slightly different to take care of the CDROM.

I think the only hardware difference to the chipset is the addition of the chunky to planar chip (Akiko).

The CD32 also has this tiny 1 kB flash memory used for save-games and settings.

The Akiko is much more than that. It's also includes the CD-ROM controller and the equivalent of the CIA (Mouse, Serial and Keyboard).

Yes the CD32 has no Gayle, but it does have the Gayle IDE driver in it's ROM! (Which is how the SX-1 and SX32 series' IDE work)

I think the CD32's AUX Serial port (Akiko) is +/-5v where A1200 is +/- 12v
