Securing A600 Fastram/Accelerator Boards
recently ive got a few fast ram clip over cpu boards an 8 meg one and an aca620.
just wondered is there anyway of securing these to the motherboard once clipped over the cpu,my cf card sits on top of mine and sometimes pushes it off the cpu,ive had to bend my cf card around so that it sticks out of the side of the case....is it worth just leaving the boards as they are and maybe cutting the side of the case so that the cf card sticks out? im new to these ram boards so just thought id put the question about in-case i done damage to components messing around with eveything. ive added pics to illustrate thanks |

I have a spare one of the attached you can have for a tenner posted
The CF will not touch the ACA once fitted although you should insulate the jumper pins as they might come into contact with the PCB of this CF adapter There's a small track repair on the bottom but it's tidy and works great (Was like that since new as these are hand built) |

how do you secure cpu clip over ram expansion boards
i purchased an 8meg ram expansion clip over from kipper2k some time ago for my A600
sometimes...not all the time it pops off when its either switched on or off anyhow....the ram expansion works fine and is a brilliant creation but i just wanted to know has anybody got the same board and if so,do you secure yours down and if so how? here it is next to my cf card |

I don't have one but if you normally run it with a closed cover then just use some double sided tape and some foam to keep it in place.

Them 2 holes should correspond to holes on motherboard. Get some legs and secure the expansion with right length screws something like aca630

something like this.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1511165357...84.m1423.l2649 you could probably get something cheaper and nearer,if you knew the space between the card and motherboard and hole diameters. im guessing the space is about 6.5mm if its a upside down plcc socket.
