cobra 1230 zero fastram

i have more module and more size but all not function past 2 day, the a1200 and the other turbocard whit ram is ok, any idea?

do you have some pictures, what configurations are available on the card?

From what I have read, the Cobra 1230 requires a firmware update to work with memory under Kickstart 3.1

I believe the source of this is on the available software -

to upgrade the firmware you will need to remove the ram from the adapter and boot with the disks to install the firmware update

i have used the card with kickstart 3.1 and 3.0 without problem, i change the oscillator 40 mhz with 46.61512 because the 40 mhz is broken, i not used for one month whi i used a tqm for test and now i installed the cobra and the fast ram is zero with any module

i want read the manual pdf

all ok, i "solved", the cobra at hard reset show zero fastram, with soft reset (keyboard) the size of fastram is ok

next test when i found a quarz 40mhz

Are you saying that there is NO fast ram at Cold boot (Power on), until you Three finger salute it ? (Warm Reset)

With my Cobra, I found the RF Shield was partly shorting out the card at its interface point to the motherboard in the trapdoor. I ended up totally bending the offending piece of RF shield out of the way so it didnt short it out.

Symptoms I had, was in the range of Colored screens, No Fastram, to Just not booting.
