John's shot above from Belgium shows how involving the graphics make the lap feel. Cool stuff.

Just stopping in to say sorry I've not had time to compete.. especially for my favourite game
Lots of external noise happening and is unlikely to change, but I will try to contribute wherever possible

I was wondering when you might step in a put down some serious times.

Annoying how life sometimes gets in the way. It's put paid to loads of rounds over the years for me. A few times it's wiped out most of seasons.

Best of luck.

I think they went for accuracy over the incredible. Each circuit has a couple of signature pieces, and they stand alone in the landscape which adds to their weight.

I thought you wanted to play Golf?

Congratz to this amazing result!

As winner of this round please choose between 1989 and 1990 because we'll play 2 games out of one of these years in round 6.

In a crazy turn of events steef-online takes the GOLD medal in the final hour of this round.

Less than one tenth of a second behind follows JanciB who gets SILVER.

Until two hours before the end of this round Biscuit seemed to have this in the bag but now it's BRONZE for him.

In the team battle this is a clear victory for Lemon - due to little participation on EAB. EAB still leads 3-2.

Sadly rexsu seems to have left us again. Hopefully he'll be back. But because he didn't score any points this round I'm leading the league with 72 points now, followed by rexsu with 67 points.
After winning two rounds in a row (Alien Fish Finger and Grand Prix) steef-online is in 3rd place with 62 points. But very close behind are LinesMachine (60 pts) in 4th and Biscuit (59 pts) in 5th place.

Thanks for recording your tries JanciB - I enjoyed them. I notice youtube doesnt count views if the video we not watched all the way through, so when we quit the video at the end it can say zero views. I watched all your videos.

What is crazy, the best of the best drivers of the 90's are still 1 sec. faster than we are. For example fastest time at Belgium is 1:37.548

Just my settings for recording in WinUAE:

I am using the built-in video recording in WinUAE.

Display:

Windowed: 752 x 288 (384 x 288 if you are using lo res in resolution), Double buffering
Settings Native: Full-window (1920x1200)
Resolution: Hires (normal) (You can use lo res also, then the captured window is half the width, but games that use higher resolution and workbench also will be squashed)
Resolution autoswitch: Disabled
Line mode: Single
Interlaced line mode: Single

Filter:

Null filter, Masks, none, No scaling
Horiz size: 2x
Vert. size: 4x (2x if you use lo res in display/Resolution)
Aspect Ratio Correction: Disabled
Extra Settings: Point/Bilinear

Output:

Audio: PCM 44,100 kHz; 16 Bit; Stereo
Video: x264vfw, Single pass - lossless, preset Fast, keep input colorspace
Capture before filtering

With this settings for example at France video of length 6min. is 80MB avi. Cpu (Intel E8600) occupation is 20%.
I then crop, resize, trim with AviSynth and VirtualDub and again use x264vfw in lossless to upload to youtube.
