GPS is the manufacturer not a chip name, GEC Plessy Semicondutor
It is. Three, 10-bit DAC's in one chip. Yeah, I think the A1200, A4000 and CDTV all use VP101 or pin-compatible clones. Yeah, my mistake. ToastScan is actually SoftHut not EyeTech. I think eyetech's range were called EZ-VGA and there were internal and external units, but I could be wrong. The external EZ-VGA / ToastScan is a design re-used by lots of companies, including the original Indivision. Quote:

DAC means "Digital to Analog Converter". A triple DAC is just a DAC with 3 different channels, but it is still a DAC.

I got a reply from Rochester... Minimum order value $50.
A bit pricey for one chip. Not bad for 18 but what to do with 17 spares |

Hi all,
I happen to have this chip (FlickerMagic), but the cable was soldered to the Cybergraphx directly, so I don't have the cable from the FlickerMagic to the VGA connector. I already tried making such cable but with no success, I think I had the pinouts wrong (found a pinout of a similair product). Could anybody give me the correct pinout for this product? The board has 8 pins, the VGA obviously has 15. Here some pictures I made years ago: |

Wow you've been trying to fix this a LONG time!
http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=21879 You probably get a better picture soldering directly to Cybergfx board like that. Anyone who has one of these boards should be able to buzz out the pins with a multi-meter to get the pinout. |

Maybe there is anybody who can make me a picture of the VGA connector board so I can see the circuits, that will help too.
Thanks! |

Hi. I have one of these. I made a temporary VGA connector because one of the tracks on the VGA board had burn out. I did have all the pin outs, but im not sure if I still have them. I had the original VGA board repaired, and I now use that. The Amiga is in storage at the moment what exactly do you need?

As I have no VGA board at all I need to rebuild it from scratch (or just a cable) so I need to know which pin of the scandoubler connects to which pin of the VGA connector. |

Ok I have a bmon which I am not using. http://amiga.erkan.se/wp-content/upl...on-150x150.jpg With a straight through cable it will work. I could post this to you and you could buzz out the pins yourself, and send it back... will this help?
