dbl screen modes

I did a quick search "winuae dblpal" and surprisingly didnt find any topics.

The defunct AGA(?) screen modes dblpal and dblntsc do not *appear* to display correctly in WinUAE.

Yes I know these modes are not needed, and yes I know there are workarounds but someone who recently tried to use their A1200 hard drive (setup for dbl modes) with WinUAE found themselves a bit stuck.

Currently they work as designed. (and result is obvious because hires doublescan mode really is "half-scan" superhires and emulated superhires currently drops every other pixel)

Anyway, your timing is quite interesting because I just finished real superhires support which also automagically fixes doublescan modes.. Wait few days more..

(and it is also quite obvious why i won't post in other Amiga-related forums)

This is great news! Thanks.

One of my main uses for WinUAE is easy setup of my real A1200. 'Useless' emulation features like this are very helpful to me.

( 060 support was a real biggie in this respect even though it's pointless for emulation )

Status report: Unfortunately it will take more than few days before next beta will be released.

I am currently fixing/updating hires/superhires sprite support and it isn't trivial update.

Previously for example hires sprites would be converted to lores and then doubled back to hires if program used lores bitplanes -> looks crappy. Good example is Super Stardust AGA. (ship and score texts are hires sprites but currently they are reduced to lores quality..)

Damn it, Toni... you're WAY to productive and imaginative. You need to slow down and let people get frustrated :P
