Did you remove the 68000 from the motherboard first?

No, I didn't.

The B2000 didn't care & I could pick processors by holding the mouse when powering on.
I figured the same would apply.

So it might work if I pull the 68000?
It's packed away right now, but if you think that'll work, I'll dig it back out & see?

Most accelerators require you to remove the M68k when plugged into the A2000A.. Try it when you have the machine out next time.

Update: No good.

68000 removed, A2630 installed, it just acted like there was no processor at all...black screen.

I don't really care, but damn, these German 2000s are almost (I stress almost) useless

Too bad.. But yeah, these are mainly useful as museum pieces or as spare parts machines for A1000s. :-)
