You need diskspare.device in Devs and the dosdriver in Devs\DosDrivers to mount on WB load or Storage\DosDrivers for manual mount.

Ive installed winuae which says its supports ds0: but its still saying its not bootable. Plus I cant seem to find diskspare device etc, on aminet. Only some other thing called diskspace rad. Any links?
To recap, im trying to read a ds0: disk, thru winuae or amiga forever. Need dumber instructions. |

You can't actually boot from DS0: - you have to use DiskSpare-formatted disks from Workbench.
Obviously without the diskspare.device you're not going anywhere - I remember Amiga User International used it on a lot of their coverdisks but none of them seem to be downloadable from AMR at the minute and it also doesn't seem to be on Aminet. I have a load of old AUI disks at home so if I get any time this evening I'll dig it out and upload it for you, if no-one's beaten me to it by then. |

WinUAE diskspare support means it can mount diskspare images in "hardware level", you still need Amiga-side software to decode diskspare format.
