cannot save files to env:
hello and merry xmas
i think i have a problem with my ram disk here goes i can delete and put files in ram: env but when i reboot the amiga i am back to where i started the files i deleted before are there again files i put in env are gone i can not change it in any way its like its my ram disk is protected i maybe its because its full but then why can i delete and then after boot-up its the same as before but it happens only with the ram disk also sometimes when i try to delete something i dont want i get requester saying "error while deleting so and so object is in use" the reason i ask is is because i want to put cdfilesystem in ram but i cant as i said also what is nonvolatile? my specs are amiga 1200 os 3.5 81 mb hd squirrel SCSI external cdrom drive Last edited by amifreak; 19 December 2004 at 23:22. |

The RAM disk will lose everything you’ve copied into it upon reboot. It’s mainly used as a temporary storage area.
System related items in the “RAM:env” directory are copied from the “Prefs/env-archive” folder when workbench boots. |
