"The status of order #xxxx is now Shipped"
USPS tracking number doesn't work yet, but some signs of life! I preordered the day the page went up, if I remember right. |

Hi Folks, nice to know I'm not alone on this issue. I ordered my A500 replacement keyboard in January, paid in full. I emailed them on October 1st asking for an update and as others have been told will ship as soon as its my turn. I've now emailed asking for a refund and had no response.
So I'm not happy to say the least, funny I got the link to this thread googling Amiga keyboard scam. |

Maybe they are all dead, including Kipper. That could explain the months of silence and no response.

Come on people, ten days since they were "shipped" - who has received one? It's time for an unboxing/review.

I've seen some posts on Facebook about people having them, but nothing on here yet!

I got this installed today. The keys have a nice clackety, responsive feel. Softer than my main keyboard's Cherry Browns + O-rings but firmer than Reds. The spacebar feels stable along its length but is a bit noisier than I'd like. No noisier than the original, though.
Obviously a huge improvement over the original keyboard. I'd already replaced the membrane but those keys felt mushy. I can type on this new one quite comfortably. Goodies in the box: Before/after in a new A1200 case (sunlight changed so colors are not quite accurate, but the original was heavily yellowed): |

Awesome! Looks like they did a good job packaging with instructions etc. Any mention of adding LEDs? It's probably straightforward enough but curious anyway.

The keyboard has a USB header (to use with e.g. Raspberry Pi) and a Gotek header for... no idea what that's for. |

Oh I should be more specific, backlight under each key. Should just be a couple of holes to solder.

I just noticed in the picture of the new keyboard the '+' and '-' keys along the top are in the wrong order. You might have to swap them around, unless the key presses are actually correct.

What's funny is that you can see those keys are the wrong way around in the manual as well. So I wonder how many were fitted that way. Anyway it's no big deal. just an easy fix. Keyboard looks great though, I want to get one eventually.
