Installing Intuition on AmigaOS 3.1.4 (Amibian 1.4)

Hello there,

i made a fresh install of AmigaOS 3.1.4 on the following system:

- Raspberry Pi
- Amibian 1.4
- Amiga 1200
- emulated 68020
- including the 3.1.4 kickrom from Hyperion

it went quite nice, after some time adjusting the options i got a blank Workbench 3.1.4

Now i tried to install this Intuition library to make my windows more flexible over the screen border.

I followed the insctructions on the Hyperion website, i copied the LoadModule to c and the intuition.library to Libs (and renamed it).

Finally i edited my Startup-Sequence as written in the FAQ and inserted "C:LoadModule ROMUPDATE"

But when starting the system i god some error-messages from the shell and it left me with Intuition not working.

This is the message from boot process:

filsystem version 46 already resident.
Loading filesystem failed: object already exists
C:LoadModule failed returncode 10

Do you have any idea what i can do about this?

Thanks alot

How about you use
Code:
c:loadmodule libs:intuition.library
instead of romupdate.

Hello Jope!

Thanks for the answer, it works well now!

After seeing the solution for this problem, it appears to be really simple and obvious.

That's why i wonder why there is something completely different is written in the installation instructions on the hyperion website.

The installation instructions are quite difficult to follow, if you don't do a bit of investigation first. It depends a lot on what kickstart you booted into when doing the installation. If you did the installation with 3.1 and change to a 3.1.4 ks later, you will end up with problems etc.

For a little bit of fun.. C: isn't required before LoadModule. It's not really required before any command located in C: ...as that's a default System path AmigaOS searches. You could also remove C: from C:Assign, yada, yada if you wanted to. It won't slow or make anything that much quicker.

I'm glad Jope was able to help and you got it going. Yay!

Raspberry Pi..?? Well, thanks a bunch (Grrrr..), I didn't know about this little thing before. I'm being funny with the grrr...haha! I'll check into it.
