EAB/Lemon Super League 2010: Round 2 - Lotus Turbo Challenge 2

EAB/Lemon Super League 2010: Round 2 - Lotus Turbo Challenge 2

Starts: 00:01 February 7
Finishes: 23:59 February 27

Rules

Post screenshots of your scores in this thread, and write your score underneath. You can enter as many times as you like within the round's time frame.

IMPORTANT - You MUST play the WHDLoad version linked to in this thread, and the one in the Zone - as the scoring systems seem to vary amongst different versions, we have supplied the WHDLoad version on a High Density ADF to play in UAE for those who don't use WHDLoad normally, so you can boot it and play it like normal. You need an A1200 setup emulated with a High Density floppy drive and 4MB of Fast RAM.

No cheating of any kind (including score leeching) - this includes save states. No continues/passwords allowed. If you suspect a contestant of cheating then don't post it in public (anyone who does so will have their posts edited or deleted) - please PM me, Biscuit or mihcael and we will investigate it. If we find anyone guilty of cheating then they will be banned for the entire season.

Please only post your score on either the EAB or Lemon forums. If you have already played this year you have to post your score on the same forum for the whole season. If you are new, the one you post on first will be your team for the whole season. However you are welcome to discuss the compo, game etc. on the other forum if you wish.

Remember, anyone can join in at any time. Have fun and feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Downloads

- High Density ADF (see above, this or the below WHDLoad archive MUST be used. Thanks to Hungry Horace for supplying this)

And seuden storms into the lead

By the way, would you mind writing your score in your post in future, just so it's easier for me to copy and paste thanks!

WTF.. the Lotus2_v1.9_0497.zip I have here on my HDD is different than the very same posted in this thread ?

I noticed the 1st place SOUT has a score of 50000000 in your screenshot.
It's "only" 25000000 on my screenshot, and I am using Lotus2_v1.9_0497 (file date: Wednesday March 7 2007) from KGWHD on my A1200.

I come in peace, but what exactly is different about this game than the one we played 2 seasons ago, was it?

That was Lotus 3 and this one is Lotus 2?

Actually I think this is the weakest of the series. There's very little to this one. Only eight tracks to race, all against the clock. And that's it.

@Retroplay: I'm using v1.3 I've just found out, the highscores are different for some reason.

One version has "Today's best scores" versus "All time best scores", does the game have two separate high score tables? Or is that another difference?

I didn't notice that one.

I would guess it's another difference.

I had no idea I had an old version installed so I will update my copy forthwith! But the differences appear to be purely cosmetic, as far as I can see so far. So I don't think there's any cause for concern here but as usual, if anybody knows different, do tell...

AHA!!

When the v1.9 WHD version saves highscores it alteres the highscore table.

I tried a fresh install with the 50000000 score, played a game, saved hiscore and voila it's back to the 25000000 score.

V1.3 doesn't save highscores at all which is a tad annoying. (EDIT: Or maybe it does... just found out you need to set a tooltype to save scores in v1.9...)

But glad that's cleared up.

That's rather good. Set a standard fairly early on.

Take it you got to the end? I could only get to the marsh track, it does for me every time.

Yes I got till the end.

And honestly in the run the most irritating track for me was the sand track kept sliding out too much to my liking.

But this score can be greatly improved, made lots of mistakes.

Manual gears are greatly advised.
