Bootable CD to hard drive conversion
I have a bootable games compilation on CD that I would to boot off a hard drive instead, with no workbench backend, just operate the same way the CD does. Is it possible?
Thanks |

I didn't read through the whole topic but maybe some useful information here:
http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=77127 I don't think it's possible to boot from an ISO image if that's what you're thinking. But possibly unpack the CD contents to WB and play with CDFS and startup-sequence? Either way, check out that link and read lots... Might help. |

are we talking about emulation? - should work with real hardware too,
but emulation is easier. try those prepared hdf files, mount one together with your cdrom and copy everything from cd to the hdf. in the emulator you have to tick bootable for the hdf. maybe you have to edit the startup-sequence, look for cd32 specific commands, disable them --> ; infront of the command. furthermore, if you have some references to cd0: you may add: Code:
assign CD0: sys: Last edited by emufan; 29 January 2018 at 22:50. |
