Help with: Bio Challenge : The Basics

Greetings all. I know, been gone for a while now.

Anyways, I have this problem. Basicly, I kill every monster in a level and I only end up with 3/4's of the amulet complete. I go over the levels multiple times and find nothing more. Somehow I got to level 2 but I'm experiencing the same problem.

Maybe a manual would help, but I couldn't find one.

Would be very obliged if someone could tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Mmh, there should be no problem to collect all amulet parts if you really kill all important enemies. You could check this video.

You misunderstand me. I kill all the enemies in every section, and all they drop is that thing that gives you power if you bring it to the orb thingy..... Well all of them do that after I get the first three parts.

yeah, a manual would make this conversation look a whole lot better :P

Also anyone know if the cheat to skip to the boss that's floating around the web even works ?

I never read a manual of this game and had no problems to collect all parts. Maybe you use a crappy crack? Anyway. If you need the manual.

Quote:
Bio Challenge

The aim of the game is to collect four parts of an amulet found by
killing the guardians that inhabit the floor. You kill them by
jumping on the slabs above them and somersaulting. You can tell how
many somersaults are needed by how many lines each block has. Once
the slab has run out of lines it falls, hopely on top of the enemy.
The small flying creatures are killed by spinning into them.
The cauldrons you find are different colours and do different things.
These are as follows:-

YELLOW : Time bonus of an extra minute
BROWN : Bonus of 5000 points
BLUE : Extra Life
GREY : Expands the capacity of the reserve
tank to 32 units
GREEN : Increases power of armour. When armour
flashes green and you somersault your
enemies are destroyed.
RED : Increases power of armour. When the
small flying creatures come near, spin
and they will rebound off your armour
and possibly kill one of the guardians
Joystick commands :-

Fire button not pressed
Push Up : High Leap
Push Left : Move Left
Push Right : Move Right
Pull Down : Crouch or Step Down from Slab
Fire Button Pressed
Push Up : High Leap and Spin
Push Left : Jump Left
Push Right : Jump Right
Pull Down : Somersault
Other Joystick Commands :-
Crouching in front of a monster fragment collects it.
To make a small leap left or right, push joystick up and then
move left or right.
The longer the joystick is pushed up, the higher you leap.
The longer the joystick is pushed left or right, the farther
you will jump.

On screen commands :-
Time : Time allowed for level.
Energy : The energy tank adds up the remains
of the monsters picked up along the
way. The larger circles are equal to
five smaller ones. Circles will only
appear after you have picked up the
remains and taken them back to the
large sphere at the beginning of each
level.
Oil Gauge : You character (KLIPT) runs out of oil
when he :-
Moves
Gets hit by an enemy
Gets hit by a guardians missile
Lives : The KLIPT starts with four lives
Amulet : Before you can Proceed to the next
level you need to collect all four
pieces of the amulet

Thanks. Except now I don't have enough "power" to beat the boss. Ugh. I got three mask wearing dudes and one snake thing as "power", and it's just not enough, apparently. There's one or two extra snakes but I have no idea how to kill them, because sometimes they dies and sometimes they don't.

They don't die? What version to do use? An original or crack disk image? You can kill all emenies, if you collect the red and green wristbands which reflects these flying creatures as a kind of ammuntion. Never noticed any problems at all.

Maybe that's why those things died sometimes. You have to get both, then ?

Using the Avengers crack, after the Subway dream team crack.

WinUAE or real Amiga? I will check the Subway crack later today, it's also included in Gamebase Amiga. So it should work fine (in theory). I've completed the first 2-3 Level on my real Amiga 1200+WHDLoad without any problems some month ago.

Winuae.

Same problem. Used Subway crack with just the infinite energy trainer active. Level 2, kill ALL the enmies, have 3/4's of the amulet, all the enemies I could find are dead and I have one big energy ball and three small ones, but I can't find the last amulet piece.

Playing the Avengers crack, level 1, I got the amulet, killed all the enemies in the level to have three masked dudes and one snake-thing collected, which amounts for 4 small energy balls. Collected both red and green arms. Get into the boss fight, I run out of ammunition before I can kill the boss.

Either way I'm getting screwed

Edit: Literaly as I edit this I reload the save and somehow kill the boss with at least two full tanks remaining.

And yet I used this save three times before and the guy refused to die.

Have you really found all parts of the level sections in level 2 via the teleporters? Just tried it in WinUAE with the Subway crack with trainer and i found all amulet parts.

Are there any teleporters I'm not aware of ?

I can try sending you the my save file, to see if they're the same.

By the way, the avengers crack did the same now on level 2 even after I cleared level 1.

Edit: atached save file from begining of level 2, infinite health/energy active. Can supply other saves from this point as well, with different settings (with and without trainers).

You have to jump in a specific order into the teleporters within a level section or you can't reach all sections. Some takes you also back to the beginning of the level as you probably noticed.

I noticed ones taking me back, yes. However I wasn't able to find any that warp me beyond a certain area. There's the base one that turns dark blue when you go far enough, the red and the green one.

Sending the file, where I got stuck.

Sorry for the confusion. Maybe there's something realy obvious here that I'm missing but I just can't seem to find any new areas or enemies no matter where I go.

The base section in Level 2 doesn't turn blue, that's Level 1.

For Level 2:

Jump into the first teleporter in the brownish base section and you reach the purple/red section. Now enter again the first teleporter you see to reach the green section. When you arrive there you instantly see a grey teleporter which brings you into the orange section.

So, have fun with Level 3. Pretty hard to play there without trainer.

Thank God I'm using it then

Hey, playing stuff like D-Return taught me that getting there is what matters

(Though at this monent I'm a tiny bit more concerned about Carlos. I sorta like it and it would bum me out if no one knows what to do there.)

Hmm. All the way into level 6 now and.....I'm stumped. None of these guys seem to drop anything and no matter what colour whatever teleporter has when I jump into it it just seems to drop me off on another point on this area.

Realy confused by this. I'd hoped to be able to clear it :/

I haven't played that far. But as you can see in the youtube clip the ememies should drop items/amulet parts in Level 6.

Okay, turns out they do. Some of them. But the problem is you have very little time. Were it not for the infinite time trainer I couldn't do this. Especialy if the teleporters are random like they were in levels 4 and 5.
