Oh I know, I was just asking if it existed or not

Ah! So it's really a bug!

By the way, yes, I remember the huge problems with the collision detection as well. Horrible piece of crap of a game.

But I still want to finish it

File A20.CDG is responsible for this map. It is the same as the one on Atari disk too. It is possible to unpack this file, change map, repack and the change be permanent on Atari and Amiga.
There is an altered savestate made from SPS disk Zoned at the first bar to try. I don't remember if all puzzle pieces need to be collected before going through the stairway.

So with the help of a buddy, I was able to find how to patch this in WinUAE. Here is what to type in:

W 79804d 1a1a
W 79804f 1a1a
W 797f85 1a1a
W 797f87 1a1a
W 797dc3 1a1a
W 797dc5 1a1a

each line needs to be typed and hit "enter" after each line in the debugger (Shift+f12)

First decent recorded playthrough of this game, with debugger capture included LOL

So I somehow randomly thought about this game and I looked up online to check if someone had actually completed it on YouTube and I finally found DJBunyan's video.

So it was actually a bug, and my theory on how this game was rushed out without even beta-testing it was right. Since it impacts all three versions of it (DOS, Atari ST and Amiga), it can't be a missing blit wait, right?

Scratch what I said some years ago - this game is totally not worth my time, seeing the video was plenty enough At least that's one more "Amiga mystery" put to rest.

We also have a Carlos stuck behind bars in France, but it's a different Carlos... Quite different from the late singer and entertainer in Hawaiian shirts indeed . An ADF of the trained version bearing the fixed map would be nice btw.
