VirusZ III

Hi all,

I decided that I wanted to check all my old Miggy floppies for any viruses, so I'm going to transfer the ADFs to the PC and scan then with VirusZ III which I set up in WinUAE.

Now, I THINK it's set up, but I'm not 100% sure, so I was wondering whether there were any fake virus files that I could plant on an ADF and see if VirusZ picks it up. I'm sure I heard a mention of one on a website but I've forgotten where it is. Also, what file is equivalent to 'dat' files in McAfee, that will keep virus definitions up to date?

WindowsKiller also developed a windows based scanner:

As for VirusZ III, the disk scanning option seems to work ok for me - just be warned that it has problems in certain situations with really long filenames, like those found in TOSEC collections.

"XVS.library" is the one with virus definitions.
