If you have never played Loom, here are some tips :
- you have to progress as a weaver
- you will thus learn how to "weft" (4 musical notes : do ré mi fa sol la si do (in English: C D E F G A B C)). You gain new notes during the game.
- "weft" can be played "plain stitch" & "purl one" (so if you know "plain strich" Open, "purl one" will be Close)
- on the island after opening the egg you have to learn :
. to turn on the light
. to spin
. to dye
- open will be the most used "weft" as long as you are on the island.
Loom is an excellent game.
Enjoy !

@AmigaSystem
I know this.
I asked if by chance it was needed.
I following the instructions on the internet I proceeded to crack my version.
So if I take a French version in IPF I should be able to crack without the graphic problem.

Now I'm a bit expert with Loom I also translated it into Italian

It's not the same/simpler job?

No.
The Italian version has never been officially released and the French version has been used as a base (but apparently the version with the video glitch).

If you are the (or one of) italian translator then please patch it and release

Exactly I have personally translated Loom in Italian, I miss only the headstone of Bobbin's mother as it is a design contained in the video game that I can not change.

Loom is protected by copyright and I have obviously included my name among the credits being the author of the translation .. Release it publicly I can not ...

Regarding the Italian version, AMIGASYSTEM reported the issue also for the cracked IT version but I don't know what he wants to do now.

Never said "publicly releases".
There is a specific Zone

Hi malko, i'm referring what's wrong using meynaf version as a base for the italian version since it works perfectly.
All pieces are at disposal so is a simple patchwork to be made.

@ross

My version of Loom in Italian in The Zone...

If someone can help me change the headstone, the game would be 100% translated.

But.. tried with malko savepoint and doesn't works.
Give "error #50" on disk 3 insertion.
(WinUAE standard A500 512+512kb config, the same working with glitch version)

Maybe meynaf can help. I've zero experience in LFL script mod.

Changing a few script details is something, changing graphics with embedded text is something else...
Graphics are iirc 4-bit chunky but this may be wrong. It would need locating where this particular graphic is, decode it, alter it, reencode it... Gee. Not something i'd like to do.

Really, can't someone find a pristine italian version made by lucasfilm themselves, even if unoffically ?

There is no Italian version of that screen with the headstone ...
If you can not be patient, it's not a problem.

The IT version crashes my system even before the gfx issue.
Tested 3 times and 3 crashes.

Just after one of the Ancient asks Hetchel what she has to say to defend herself (blue text), there is a black screen, then a screen full of blue pixels (displayed too fast to take a screenshot) and then what is attached (the lines are moving on the screen). The % display goes mad and I even got a yellow background on the % display with "HS" if I am not mistaken.

To test, I used DamienD's Loom configuration (only changes the disks path to point to your IT version).

I did not try to load the save-game from a previous post.

You tried with a default Quickstart A500 515+512k (only DF0) configuration?

This can explain why malko savepoint doesn't works!
(in fact I could see phrases in French during load)
