Found --> CAR (was:PD 1 player top down racer)
HI,
this was a very vague memory... It was definitely a cover disk of some sort, you were a tiny little red F1 car with black wheels and you had to drive around these very sparse tracks. There were no other cars at all but there were little bits of track that you could take little shortcuts through. The acceleration noise was a distinctive sound which increases in pitch until you were going full speed, if you hit a wall dead on it would go silent and the noise would stop. The road was one shade of grey (no shading) the grass was plain green and I think the walls were just black. It's bugging me now! |

Yay!!!!
That's the one! Thanks very much! Wahooooo! It's utter crap I just used to love speeding into the walls at full pelt. I will go download this game later from somewhere. You gotta admit the description was pretty good! All of mine are though, probably cos I rock. EDIT: seems it's in TOSEC too. Magic! World of Classics has it down as TRACK RECORD and I can swear that's what mine was called... Might be wrong though. Last edited by killergorilla; 02 September 2004 at 11:52. |

Sorry to dig this thread up again but does anyone know what coverdisk this game was on?
EDIT: It's on BTTR: http://team.back2roots.org/Games/Files/Car%202.0%2C1/ EDIT 2: It's on Amiga Computing Issue 18 (Vol 2 No 6) - November 1989 - http://amr.abime.net/issue_551_coverdisks and is labelled as "Track Record" Last edited by killergorilla; 18 March 2010 at 13:44. |
