If you hesitate to choose this option, be aware that :

- some file names which are valid on the Amiga are not on FAT ;
- some protection bits cannot be used ;
- you cannot add comments to your files ;
- in some cases you may encounter issues when unarchiving lha files (see previous 3 points).

I have also heard (so cannot claim it) about time stamp not being correctly updated. Can somebody confirm/disprove ?

So I would better recommend you to use an Amiga FS (either you like, it's up to you - personally PFS3 has my vote ).

It has nothing to do with buffers. Running out of buffers always shows "Out of buffers" requester first and only after closing it things can go wrong

Block ID error happens without warning.

I know, this is why I criticized Thomas for yelling at me. The problem was not that. In the thread I explain that, after fixing the buffer problem, I still had errors with ablockid. To this day I still have errors if I fill that partition.

I'll be waiting for this fix to see if it sorts out my issue.
