Anyone happen to know a verified working set (name and CRCs if possible) for this game?
I'm using the following but after dying, inserting Disk 5 at the "red" screen, pressing the mouse button, swaps to a "blue" screen and nothing happens: ... Guy Spy and the Crystals of Armageddon (1992)(ReadySoft)[cr Nemesis][t +5 LGD](Disk 1 of 5).adf ... Guy Spy and the Crystals of Armageddon (1992)(ReadySoft)[cr Nemesis][t +5 LGD](Disk 2 of 5).adf ... Guy Spy and the Crystals of Armageddon (1992)(ReadySoft)[cr Nemesis][t +5 LGD](Disk 3 of 5).adf ... Guy Spy and the Crystals of Armageddon (1992)(ReadySoft)[cr Nemesis][t +5 LGD](Disk 4 of 5).adf ... Guy Spy and the Crystals of Armageddon (1992)(ReadySoft)[cr Nemesis][t +5 LGD](Disk 5 of 5).adf Have tried all (I think) versions of "Disk 5" in TOSEC but no luck I don't really want to use .IPF files as there are no trainer options... Damn, I can't even get these to work (won't boot / start) even with "most common" Quickstart" Last edited by TCD; 02 November 2015 at 20:50. Reason: Back-to-back posts merged. |

Hi DamienD,
This set works for me with WinUAE A500. The trainer allows you to set a drive for disk 5. I used DF3. It loaded to the train passing, got shot, died and it automatically restarted the game, no red/blue screen. Guy Spy and the Crystals of Armageddon (1992)(ReadySoft)(Disk 1 of 5)[cr NMS - TKK][f 1Mb Chip NOMAD][t +5 LGD].zip CRC DF1C777E Guy Spy and the Crystals of Armageddon (1992)(ReadySoft)(Disk 2 of 5)[cr NMS - TKK].zip CRC 4122A271 Guy Spy and the Crystals of Armageddon (1992)(ReadySoft)(Disk 3 of 5)[cr NMS - TKK].zip CRC 837BE1FE Guy Spy and the Crystals of Armageddon (1992)(ReadySoft)(Disk 4 of 5)[cr NMS - TKK].zip CRC 531AA9BD Guy Spy and the Crystals of Armageddon (1992)(ReadySoft)(Disk 5 of 5)[cr NMS - TKK].zip CRC 916309E5 |

Legend!!! Cheers, much appreciated Arnie
I just managed to get the .IPFs working... Had to use "1.3 ROM, ECS Agnus, 1MB Chip RAM" Quickstart + tick "Cycle Exact (full)". Will be nice to use a trained version though; off to test your solution I was using the following: DFO: Guy Spy and the Crystals of Armageddon (1992)(ReadySoft)(Disk 1 of 5)[cr Nemesis][t +5 LGD].adf DF1: Guy Spy and the Crystals of Armageddon (1992)(ReadySoft)(Disk 2 of 5)[cr Nemesis][t +5 LGD].adf DF2: Guy Spy and the Crystals of Armageddon (1992)(ReadySoft)(Disk 3 of 5)[cr Nemesis][t +5 LGD].adf DF3: Guy Spy and the Crystals of Armageddon (1992)(ReadySoft)(Disk 4 of 5)[cr Nemesis][t +5 LGD].adf Tried putting disk 5 in DF3 as you've suggested and still not working; now stays on the "red" screen Hmmm; the only difference is your 1st disk... Where did you get "Guy Spy and the Crystals of Armageddon (1992)(ReadySoft)(Disk 1 of 5)[cr NMS - TKK][f 1Mb Chip NOMAD][t +5 LGD].zip" from as I can't find in all my usual places? Thank you Sandro.
I'm a bit old school; don't use WHDLoad... Still use .ADF as that's what I remember as a 13-15 year old on my A500 (ECS Denise) |

It's from the 'Old Games Finder' site, leeched from the eab ftp.
I'll add it here so that we're on the same page. BTW, I'm using 3.2 beta18 for testing. Last edited by Arnie; 21 January 2016 at 12:56. |

Shite, still doesn't work for me with your disk 1 and floppy drive setup.
Have attached my original config (but modified with your disk 5 in DF3). Does it work for you Arnie? I wonder what the difference is? |

The only thing I had to change was the KS rom. I use the KS from the Amiga Forever set (KS ROM v1.3 (A3000)(SK) rev 34.5 (256k)).
EDIT: Here are the rest of the disks just to rule out any differences from your set. Last edited by Arnie; 21 January 2016 at 12:56. |

I really don't know what to say here (or more importantly, what to do). I've used the same .ADFs that you are along with the ROM and the floppy disk settings i.e. DF3 = Disk 5. I've attached my modified v1.0.0 configuration with your settings injected. |

I don't know what to suggest either. Your config works for me. I just use the default A500-0.5/0.5 config myself.
Maybe it's the differences in the PC we use. I use a Dell Inspiron Laptop/win7, not a powerful modern beast, but at the moment, it does the job. |

Not to worry; unless someone can figure out why then I'll just use the .IPF files. |

Hello DamienD, i have just tested the game uploaded by Arnie, under Winuae 3.2.0 beta18, and using a quickstart config for A500.
Here is how i'm doin' with the game : In fact, disk 5 contains all the datas cutted from each disks (original disks images stored 1024kb instead of 880kb). It must remains inside a disk drive. You only change game disks 1 to 4. The disk change system is slow. I used the game trainer, which allows to use F1 to pass a section of the game and go to the next one. In the meantime, i'll have a look at your configuration |

1M config (0.5+0.5 or 1M chip) and 4 floppy drives = lots of wasted memory for disk buffers. It is rarely supported configuration.

Hello there dlfrsilver,
Good to hear from you and thanks for your input / testing. Hopefully you can see what's going on Quote:
What Quickstart or configuration do you suggest I should use Toni? Just bump up the Chip RAM to 2MB and leave the rest as is? Last edited by DamienD; 04 November 2015 at 12:16. |

Well Toni is right, even back in the day, most people used only 2 disks drives. 4 disks drives means actually 2mb of ram.
Damien, just keep disk 5 in Df1, and change the disks in DF0: Ps : On disk 1, it's stated that blue screen means insert previous disk (ex: you have disk 2 in the drive, then you're asked to insert disk 3, then if blue screen appears, you must insert again disk 2). |

yes the more drive you use, the more memory it takes
