Lollypop HD-Install program not working?
Looks like I'm having another problem, with another original HD-installer.
Knowing little about Lollypop, I wanted to see how well its HD-install program performed, and similarly what the extracted files would look like and how it performed on HD. However, it seems to have a problem acknowledging any kind of directory or partition whatsoever, repeatedly stating "Selected directory not valid.", even on the default set path of SYS:. The only place where it outputs a different message is with RAM:, in which it says "Needs 3.5 MB of disk space". I've tried ClassicWB and I've tried bogstandard WB3.1 off a floppy, I've tried PC folders and spanking new formatted HDFs, and I'm getting nowhere. Is it really this buggy??? |

Try a real device like DH0: as I have gotten it to install in the past, but the WHDLoad installer is much easier/better!

Click inside the box where SYS: is and press ENTER key first.

I did try DH0:, DH1: etc before and it didn't work. Yet you're saying it's possible to get it to install just by clicking in the box then pressing Enter? Lemme check this out.
And CT, I'm sure if I was interested in the WHDLoad version I'd have just grabbed it off WHDownload. |

Yes, as it turns out, you need to press Enter after entering your path to make the installer acknowledge your choice. Not that it made that clear at all.
Interestingly, it installs the whole game into one large LollyPop.res file. I looked at the WHDLoad version and that installs the game into several individual files. I wonder what inspired the change? |
