Sega Saturn emulation
Ok I dunno if you guys over in the UK called it the Saturn bc I know you guys had a different name for the Genesis (Mega Drive), but I was wondering if anyone had tried to emulate the Saturn. I've been wanting to do it for a while and the emulator satourne is confusing to configure in my opinion. It says I need to retrieve the bios files somehow from the system and I don't know how to do that. Can anyone help me?

I was told last year at a trade show that there was not a PC on the market that was powerful enough to handle proper Saturn emulation!
Its not something im too fussed about though, the Saturn is easilly my favorite console ever just ahead of my NES, I brought one the day it was released and now I own every UK released game for it. I heard romours that some dude in Japan had built a hybrid Saturn/Dreamcast console that fitted into two 5.25 inch bays and played games through software on the host PC, although this was something I never got to see. All the so called emulators that have creeped out over the years have been total cack. |

yeah, speed sucked on an athlon1800+ I tried it n the past, but nowdays with dual core cpu's, maybe things changed!
I keep an eye on http://ngemu.com/ , that covers these kinds of emus... SSF seem to update often, I would not be surprised if it run OK on a modern pc... |

I thought that Saturn emulation was ok, as is Dreamcast (Chankast). Although why you would want to when both systems cost next to nothing and Dreamcast can even boot backup disks with no mods.
PS2 emulation is slow with current gen PC's P.S. No emulation that I know of currently uses two CPU's even if they are available. |

@alexh:
the most advanced ps2 emu (can't remember the name though) that actually runs games with a geforce7 gpu, uses dual core cpu's... one takes the gfx data and the other the rest... |

Have you ever looked at the FPS in those screenshots. We have an X6800 with Geforce 8800 here at work and it only just runs PCSX2 at anything near usable rates... still well below real rates.

Does Planet Emu have the Game ROMs for Saturn and Dreamcast? Or is there another better website for the ROM's?
Btw would anyone know how to make ROM's out of games that I already own? |

saturn roms? dreamcast roms? are you serious?
those have CDROMS, u need cd images.... if u own a game, just make an ISO and load it on the emu! @alexh: dunno about ps2 emus, never bothered really, because I have a ps2 and only a modest 2600+ pc... |

http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~phantasy/ It plays just about everything you throw at it fullspeed. I'm currently playing Akumajou Dracula, Panzer Dragoon Saga and Sega Rally and they all work great without any issues. A must have. |

The PS1 version is the best but the extra areas the Saturn version has makes it a must have. |

Well I don't think it's that bad.
Funny thing is that the Saturn has superior 2D hardware compared to the PS1. I wonder how the X360 version turns out. Maybe that's a good reason to get one. |

Having trouble making a usable ISO image. I have the Nero 6 suite, but which program should I use?
BTW tried SSF and it works great! Automatically reads the Saturn game I have in the drive. But how would I configure a USB gamepad for use in the emulator? |
