The photo looks as old as the console. Congrats on your new acquisition but I bet you still use WinUAE.

Yes, the CD32 is a great machine. However the one I have has a flaky CD-drive... it works most of the time. WinUAE's (or rather my Dell Lattitude C610's) CD-drive is much more reliable So what (if any!) games do you have for it? Regards, Lonewolf10 |

Nero, slowest speed and not the cheapest CD-R. Do not use CD-RW.

Horrible, cheap-looking plastic nastyness. Just like I thought when they came out lol What a pointless machine it was (imo)

True, it was technically just an Amiga 1200 with a CD drive, but that didn't stop me going into my local Rumbleows (whatever happened to them?) to gawp at it at every opportunity. After years of infuriating disk swapping on my Amiga 600 I was easily pleased.

Ugly as it can get, but I remember it smelled pretty good.
Does your CD32 have an RGB output? Hope so! |

The minimum speed record here at home is 16x and use media quality. I found it curious that the indication of Nero, because I use Alcohol 120% for games and recording only one who had reading difficulties was CD32.
I can never say with emulation certainty friends. I left the emulation of all console systems for a long time since this past year I have been buying one by one. I want to just get my PC-FX, a consumer dream |

The amount of times I have said "I will never need emulation now I have system X" and ended up using it lol. Congrats on your recent purchase though. It's a system I will buy at some point, once i have got modding my 600 done.

"I'll never use emulation again" is a bit hasty I think. I've used WinUAE for many years then this year I decided I wanted real hardware again so I bought a 600 and a 1200.
I spent quite a bit in the 1200 making it clean again and adding CF cards and PCMCIA adapters etc and quickly aquired over a 1000 floppy disks. Then I spent many weeks writing my favourite games back to floppy. And after all that effort I sold it for a break even price....and why? Because as much as I love floppy disks they are a royal pain in the arse after using WHDLoad. But to use WHDLoad properly you need extra ram, the price if wich I just could not justify. Bottom line. A decent PC/Laptop with WinUAE and all my games set up as configs on my desktop and ready to launch with a double click is so much more ideal 'for me'. Add to that the fact that I have every possible Amiga configuration in one compact machine and no mess or clutter (floppy disks, external drives etc) and emulation wins the battle for me. Moral of the story: its mere weeks since I waved goodbye to emulation and thought I would never use it again but here I am. |

In fact, I was never crazy about Amiga CD32. I'm crazy about video games and the Amiga CD32 was an object of desire for my collection.
I think the one bad WinUAE emulator, but unfortunately it is the only one who can use and casually used. For example, to play Top Gear 2, is much easier to use the Kega Fusion or Snes9x than WinUAE. For that you have idea to save money and do not let you have access to any game in my collection, I bought Flash Carts for SNES, Mega Drive and Nintendo 64 |

Well, WinUAE doesn't require so much skill to work...
I use it exactly like Kega Fusion or Snes9x. And I think it's easier than MAME. |

WinUAE is easier to use that say the mac equivalent. That requires some messing with to make it behave. |

Teno many questions about this system. The first is about the region, because here in Brazil, televisions are NTSC and PAL Amiga CD32 is. Is there any way around this without physical changes?
I turned the video game in a mono television on a was just and mute. I think the Amiga CD32 library's restricted, but today I bought on ebay three games, two of which are a far cry before I had the console, and are Darkseed and Top Gear 2. The other is bought and Seek & Destroy be wondering the same style as Banshee, but I watched a video on You Tube and I was a little disappointed |

congrats. I bought cd32 in 2004, sold it after several months and since then I've promised myself not to take "CD32 route" ever again. Maybe it was just mine, but cd loading times were soo annoying. Remember burning cd32 200 games compilations at 2x or maybe 1x speed, but it was barely usable.
