EasyNet PCMCIA (RJ45)
Hi,
I bought this from amiga.it. Unfortunately the instructions that came with it were for the wireless version. I am probably being stupid but can anyone tell my how the f you connect an RJ45 cable to it. ? There is a black pull out and it has prongs that match an RJ45 connector , but I cannot for the life of me work it out. |

There should be the disk that comes with it and will auto configure it?

Yeah floppy and cd rom. My cd not working since installed os3.9 (might have to go back to 3.1 for now) and I have a gotek.
I guess the floppy just has the 3com driver on it ? Though my switch is not showing any link or activity, not sure if that's normal for a pcmcia network card ? Every other ethernet card I have used ever does. Though if I go to prep card, it does show the device |

Just send ping from PC to your Amiga. If it works then your Amiga is connected at least to your network.
I'm not sure about which drivers the Amigakit one uses but I'm sure my Dlink PCMCIA network card doesn't flicker on activity but it's been a while since I hooked it up. I just plugged mine into router as that will display activity light and give the IP via DHCP (unless you set manually). |
