Power supply problem!

I notice that the power supply creates noisy whistle-like sound and the amiga doesn't work..so, what's the problem with power supply?

Which Amiga model ?
Original Commodore PSU or modded PC AT/ATX ?

AFAIK, high-pitch hissing noise means crowbar protection inside switched PSU circuits had been activated and your PSU is ready for binning.

Sounds like dodgy caps in the PSU, fixing this could be difficult, not to say hazardous as capacitors can give you quite a nasty shock if they haven't been allowed to discharge safely.

Best to get a newer one from somewhere.

power supply

Turn of the power supply at once, you have a short on your supply, use a multy meter on ohms to find it while it is turned off
