exotica.org.uk Question
Sorry if this is in wrong place but believe its a project of someones on here, but no project board for it anyway,
Just wondering if it was possible to turn the music into ringtones ? just a idea like would be nice to get some Amiga game theme music on my mobile, and might be a nice adddition to the project or even a side project for someone with the know to take on |

I have seen several mod to midi utils which I used many years ago... I don't like mobiles so don't know much what they are capable of, but think some of them can play midi's.
but midi isn't the same as mod if it doesn't have the same soundbank....... get one of those newer mobiles and put mp3s on it instead ..... converting mod to mp3 can be done with many players... like winamp. |

Yeah, I concur with Ironclaw on this one too, best to go from mod to mp3 or if you can find a converter app, go to a lossless format like FLAC or APE instead

I agree mod to midi is like lambs to the slaughter!!! most fones these days support mp3 direct or at least lower bitrate conversions etc. Been a while since i done owt with mobiles but psmplay can convert mp3 to fone specific tones like .mmf (samsung etc)
Hope that helps you Rogueraven. However a lot of stuff on Exotica is in custom format Like Future composer and a load of others so u may have problems with anything that isn't .mod format so you will need a different player like http://www.deliplayer.com/ |
