Nothing new here, Tiertex shitted out plenty of games back in the day and here's another they pooped out.


This weeks edition of "Shit Game Time" features Turdy Tiertex's attempt at converting Alien Storm on the Amiga, chosen this week by youtuber "RayC", Tiertex you never failed at poo-producing did you


I personally never thought much of the arcade original to be honest, I never played it back in the day but played it a few times on MAME before I did this review and even though the game never hit my gaming spot, It's stile shite on the home computers thanks to Tiertex.

The problem is with the original arcade. It sucks

Most definitely plenty worse conversions than this. It resembles the arcade game at least and plays ike a brick too...just like the original

That's one of the biggest issues with people reviewing games: all they do is expressing their own opinion. What one person hates is liked by others - and vice-versa.

If people do YouTube videos just to call games "shit", they should shut up and do it better...

it seems an adequate enough job done. I also wasn't that much of a fan of this back when I did see it in the arcade but is it so hideously terrible as not to be reasonable to those that enjoyed it in the arcades? Seems ok

The Amiga could obviously do a better job than this but would better scrolling or less choppy movement increase enjoyment dramatically I wonder

The Amiga version use ST graphics..... it can't be good :/

Main problem with the conversion is the hit detection making it annoying to play, not the gfx or the sound which are, not stellar, but adequate.

Watched the video and it appears that the game has no 'soul', it did come from a line of Sega games that were it a 'meh'.

Alien Storm was fine. The arcade was hardly a classic, but the Amiga version managed to be just a decent game without any real fuss. Nothing amazing but certainly not a bad game.

I only played it on Megadrive but it was a very solid game, try it out. It's probably better on console to pick up and play, floppy loading would probably detract from the non-stop action and antics of the game.

I bought a Dual format Spectrum/Amstrad Disk version off ebay but the postie delivered it to the wrong address and the occupant wouldn't give it back to the postie, so i'll never know how shite the 8bit versions were
