Problem with WHDLoad B.A.T.

I`m having a bit of a wierd problem with B.A.T. Well actually i`m not certain if it`s a problem or if this is how the game should be! The game starts in a hanger and as you move the mouse arround the screen the icon changes indicating the actions you can perform. The icon changes to a little talking head allowing you to talk to other characters. The problem is I can`t actually see these other characters! If I point the mouse to one location and leave it there, the icon changes from the standard icon to the talk icon making me believe there should be people walking arround, again I can`t see them!

Anyway I have tried it with v14.5 and v16.1 and they both act the same. Tried turning sprites on and of in the menu but that only effects these little no interactive robots. Tried the usual A1200 boot menu thing and still no joy.

Is this the way it`s supposed to be?
