How to use digital joystick with WinUAE?

How do you go about using a regular 9 pin joystick with WinUAE?

Is there some sort of adapter available?

I searched Aminet for a hardware solution, but found nothing.

The Catweasel MK4:

And here's a bit of DIY:

Cool thanks, I'll do it myself with one of those links man, the adaptor just isn't worth the $ they are asking

That's true, you get a Competition Pro USB for 14 €.

Caution: The Competition Pro USB has lag! Useless for accurate gaming, at least to me.

If you don't mind a bit of fiddling with self-made cables and have a parallel port, PPJOY drivers and an Amiga 4 Player adapter cable is what you need:
http://www.geocities.com/deonvdw/Doc...w/Docs/FAQ.htm

PPJOY is a driver that supports two 9 Pin Amiga Joysticks connected to your PC parallel Port using Amiga 4Player adapter cable (easily self-made, no resistors or circuit boards or soldering required to make such a cable).

I used my Competition Pro Mini in an Amiga 4Player adapter in the Parallel port. I seemed great but if I moved the stick too fast the PPjoy drivers seemed to lock up pointing constantly left. The only way to stop it was a reboot. If I played a game with fast joystick movements it would just happen again almost immediately! I could even get it to stick left in the joystick properties panel.

So, I went back to my PS2-like pad.
