Thanks Ian. Have to say, the coder has a bloody good memory!

Doubt Millennium made any real money - if they had, I imagine there would be many more 1MB copies floating around. Might not necessarily apply in this case either, but one-disking isn't always as straightforward as all that and can be a bit of an art (just ask Galahad! ). Disk space and copy-protection/loader issues, among others, are often things to consider.

Haven't had a chance to compare the 512k and 1MB versions, but I wouldn't mind hearing on the viability of a one-disked version (retail release or cracked) from the likes of Abaddon, Galahad or Codetapper.

Something tells me that maybe it's a good idea to make sure your post isn't the last one listed on the previous page in case people tend to not go back and check....

this version don't work fine on AGA , ( gfx bugs everywhere even using relokick) I just tested it on my A1200

the only 100% AGA fix is the one cracked by Divine

it was only meant for OCS/ECS machines, it has not been patched for A1200. Just wait for the whdload patch update

The Divine version is the 512kb version, not the 1mb special edition

EDIT : to bypass the problem, just turn your CPU cache OFF in the A1200 boot menu (hold both mouse button on start up).

Then click on disable CPU cache. It worked for me, i have a 030.

I will put out a beta of the WHDLoad slave sometime on Saturday. I just have to patch the blit hog.

While I'm working on this game I will add support for Denis's othe version that is not currently supported.

I acquired a disk of the GBH re-release a year or two ago, ran it through Kryoflux and was disappointed to find it was still in MFM format. Did JOTD get confused with another version, or even a crack?
Might've just been a typo or a simple memory lapse - the GBH re-release I upped to the Zone was MFM. Can't say I've come across anything different on the GBH label for James Pond.

IIRC DOS versions of games originally released in MFM format occurred a bit more on Ocean's Hit Squad label. Ocean were quite cheeky and used DOS cracks with the intros removed for at least a few budget re-releases. Just goes to show that piracy wasn't all bad!

Here is the installed whdload version.

Still need to check for snoop bugs. There are issues with the music on winuae when not using cycle exact, but I did not have the issue with either of my 1200s aca1230/56 and aca1230/42.

Abandon, is the new version of the slave going to support other versions. I have two versions that are not supported by Jeff's slave. One is an original release and the other is a GHB budget re-release which are both in mfm format. Imager works with both. They maybe be both the same version not sure.

Yeh, Mr.Larmer point-blank refused to support them in his Ocean game patches when I supplied the Hit Squad versions way back when. I wasn't so bothered until he refused to support a version of Cover Girl Poker that I mail ordered from the UK just to use with his patch. He decided to support that one after I did an impersonation of the Queen and told him I wasn't amused!

Well, I've already upped the GBH budget re-release to the Zone. dlfrsilver has included it along with an extended ADF of the original release (both MFM) in a "James Pond" pack in the Zone. Do your versions differ from the ones in the archive?

Just checked using the new slave by abandon and put it in my working jamespond install from a version jeff provided, and the slave reports unsupported so i assume only support for 1mb version in slave at the moment.
