can i put a 2.05 rom from a2000 into a500?

my a2000 is upgraded to 3.1 so have the 2.05 left over

I am not sure if it is 2.03 or 2.05, but one of them is limited to hard disk sizes of 40MB

i have a 3.25 gig hd on my a600...thats 2.05 rom......seems to be hit and miss with these roms.

You sure it's a 2.05 ROM?

2.05 will have come from an old A600. It was the only Amiga that was ever shipped with 2.05.

It will work fine in A500.

it came with the a2000 i bought.....but was not installed in it as the a2000 had te 3.1 rom in, i will dig it out and check it again

2.03 is basically a3000 only.

2.05 37.300 HD size limitation is only for the a600 internal ide.. You can of course build an interface for the a500 but by default it doesn't matter..

Like said above, the 2.05 ROM will work fine in any A500/600/2000.. Even A1000 if you make a ROM adapter.
