Interesting thread

...I thought Teen Agent was only available in Polish; HOL definitely doesn't list English.

So, to save me reading through the whole thread, I take it that both of these archives on http://lord-urbi.cba.pl/amiga/games/adf/t.htm are the full / English game and completable without issue?

a) TEENAGENT AGA (English version)
TEENAGENT AGA ENG
- dziala tylko na A1200


b) TEENAGENT ECS (English version)
TEENAGENT ECS ENG
- dziala na A500/A600

The AGA ones have the same CRC32 as the ones listed on http://lord-urbi.cba.pl/amiga/games/adf/t.htm.

With the ECS version; Disk 1 is different to the one on http://lord-urbi.cba.pl/amiga/games/adf/t.htm...

Anyone know why and which is the correct Disk 1 to use?

According information on pages, only PPA have rights to distribute Teenagent. I bet ECS version on UrBi page is crack. So "correct" version should be PPA version.

Ok, but does the game actually need to be cracked? Hope there are no manual code / password entries needed when playing...

If I compare to the Polish releases in TOSEC:

a) The ECS version isn't cracked.
b) The AGA version is cracked.

If there will be protection check (manual code), it should be included as scan/text on PPA. AFAIR there's no protection check in Teenagent.

You should've read through the whole thread! The Polish release was official, but the English release was a beta version that never made it to market. Confirmed in post #73 by the coder of the Amiga conversion, Mok. I imagine this might affect the naming of the unreleased English beta (if and) when it's included in TOSEC, no?!

...yes I should have probably just read through the thread but I read sooooo many on this board and was feeling lazy for once

The main thing is that this English version is the full / completable game... Ok, so some of the Polish --> English text isn't perfect but I guarantee it's better than my polish

Now at least I can play the game; added to my WinUAE collection
