Mighty final fight looks utterly amazing for a speccy game.
That single screenshot looks better than most game's loading screens.
Hope it plays as well.

When you said Halloween I was thinking in some simple game just for that day.

This game -Sophia- looks really very, very good. I've watched the video at Indie Retro News.

Xelda - A grand Zelda inspired game makes its appearance on the ZX Spectrum

Quote:
What a great release for all that is Spectrum, as we've just heard from Andrew Dansby that his Zelda inspired game of ' Xelda - Quest for the Golden Apple ' is finally here and ready to be played on a 128k ZX Spectrum. One of the first games by the developer who started playing around with Basic; comes a brand new game using the Mojon Twins MK2 game engine, that has been in development for nearly a year which features a huge amount of screens to play through!

Treasure Island - A new speccy game in development with a classy Pirate tune!

Quote:
It's a Thursday and do we have a ZX Spectrum treat for you, as announced through the Russian idpixel website a new game is in development called ' Treasure Island ', that doesn't just look fun to play, but the music sounds absolutely brilliant and you can't help but tap your feet to it. This game which is also being discussed on a Russian forum, is apparently going to be based on the Soviet cartoon ' Treasure Island ' and will be released in 2018, with an inspiration to Dizzy and Pyjamarama.

Vallation - Escape The Pirate Planet C64 remade for the ZX Spectrum

As reported on Indie Retro News back in July 2016, Vallation (Ranked #6 at the RGCD C64 Cartridge Development Competition 2013) was remade for the ZX Spectrum by Tardis Remakes, but is now available direct from Psytronik Software as a cassette release:

Quote:

Featuring superb detailed graphics, quality soundtracks and lots of shoot 'em up action! The Psytronik release is presented with incredible artwork by renowned industry artist Oliver Frey and features a specially enhanced 128K version with new AY soundtrack, a complete extra level with 49 new screens to blast your way through. What i really meant was that the Z80 basicassembly(darn!) was FOR ME easier than the 6502 one, and to this let's add the fact that had a zx spectrum as main computer so no way to test - so more than absurd is just too subjective

Baby Monkey Alba - Nintendo Game & Watch inspired game gets a ZX Spectrum release

Quote:
A long time ago in New York in a local store on my way to eating a lovely Pecan Pie it was the very first time I ever saw a 1980's Nintendo Game and Watch with a little guy that had to put out a fire. Sadly I was never able to buy one of them and it wasn't until now that I heard a Game & Watch inspired game has been released on the ZX Spectrum in the form of ' Baby Monkey Alba '; a game based on Donkey Kong Jr originally released in 1982!

Gunfright Returns - Reloaded Remix - An enhanced version for the ZX Spectrum

Quote:
If you were an Ultimate Play the Game fan in the 80's, then this latest news which has appeared in our inbox might just interest you, as the Ultimate Play the Game classic of ' Gunfright ', has been enhanced for the ZX Spectrum as ' Gun Fright Returns - Reloaded Remix '. This game which was released in 1985 as an isometric action game written by Tim and Chris Stamper has now been given some rather nice improvements thanks to TomCaT , GoodBoy, tiboh and Panda!

You have a choice of language. Spanish is just the default, but you can select English on the main menu.

Guess the readme is a little lacking in info, I've not seen any mention of it being in English or how to select English. Found it by scrolling through the menu in the middle and pressing on Espanyol, now it's English

Can it be 'hacked' to make English default
