Can anyone guess this image's title? game2

Ok! Here's *Drawing #2 -

*Disclaimer:
Please note these images may vary from original game not be very good at all.
May also contain traces of nuts.

Possible name of game: Hack/Hack Games/Dungeon Hack

Game genre: adventure - find yourself in a dungeon and either starve to death or get killed by nasty critter like troglodyte or giant ant etc. (or you could try to eat a dead creature rather than starve and die from poisoning.

Viewpoint: As per dodgy drawing - the map would reveal as you explored.
(no it's not the master of magic - was that a c64 game anyway?)

Commercial status: probably came with an amiga magazine.

If people like my dodgy drawings even more than Lilalurl's colourful images, ill get cracking in the guess this image thread

Moria is one of these 'rogue-like' games on the Amiga (no HOL link for that one ). There are others, but I can't remember their names right now

Similar to http://hol.abime.net/1338 but it's more than your description.

forgot to mention that you could choose a character class - miner who'd come with a pick and a ration or two - fighter who was better at killing beasties etc.

It was a very simple yet compelling game that I never finished - no 3d effects as per my quik sketch.

you'd use keypad to move up down left right (also diagonally I think)
And your trusty dog would fight beside you and sometimes do all the killing for you :P

Unfortunately haven't been able to locate Moria on The Zone

I'm still amazed by the sheer amount of pd games I've never seen and played...
All that effort and love put into so many games that were simple yet so engaging. I hope when I'm an old man I still have the coordination to play them and catch up on what I missed

It could well be Hack Lite - basically a tweaked version of Hack. One could play as a miner in that one.

It's available on Sunet: http://archive.sunet.se/pub/games/ne...miga/Variants/

I had a disk called Hack 1.0.3d. It was PD. I remember the dog having a sprite that looks like that. The walls were red and I think the game had a drop-down menu.
