@bippym
Personally, I am in two minds about it: On one hand it may help new (!) developers get started. On the other, it deprives (at least one of) the few remaining Amiga shops of a little extra income, so they may well close sooner...

BTW, I found the above documentation to be the only part of the SDK that I needed/used.

That's the whole point...
The above documentation is only a small part of what's on the CD, so the above is there to help people get started and anyone who wants to go further can then buy the CD.

Besides the documentation, what's on the CD that's of any use? I don't have the CD to hand, to check.

Why not put all available amiga docs spreaded in the net just in one place?.. so anyone who needs any amiga documentation knows where to go

Amiga® Hardware Reference Manual

Does anyone have this as a PDF suitable for printing?

Many thanks,

It'd be a lot of pages to print!

@Blippy Yes, it would be better to have the original.

But the pages were quite a big font as I remember so it would probably be fine to print a PDF in landscape format with 2 original pages per printed page, so not too bad.

Would be very grateful for something suitable that I could adapt.

Hmmm 2 original pages per sheet.. You're looking at probably 100pages double sided. I'm sure HRM has about 300+ pages!

Hi Anding,
I zoned a print version of Hardware Reference Manual.
Open it with Word and in the printer properties select "2 Pages per Sheet" mode and don´t forget to select "Scale to Fit A4" in Profile options.
I have made a hard copy of this manual with these options and it looks good.
Have fun

I've added some search functionality, both a local Namazu search and a Google Custom Search box. Find them both on the front page.

Thank KillerGorilla for whining about the lack of search functionality.

Edit: While I was at it, I also set up redirects so that most (all?) old links and bookmarks should work again. Of course you should still use the new address for new links. Sorry I didn't think of this earlier.

Site unavailable

This site has been unavailable for a few days now. Is this permanent or a temporary glitch.

Hope it's only temporary, I quite often use it!

So glad to hear I had the free time to power up my Ami for a bit of mucking around the other day (as I'm waiting for a new processor for my main computer, which I store my pdf's on... I HAVE to get around to printing them and binding them one of these days) and found the site down.

Over the last several years I've found it to be an invaluable resource, and I guess it took my thinking it was gone to REALLY appreciate how valuable it is...

So, I'm doing what I should have done 3-4 years ago and extending a heart felt THANK YOU for hosting this service.

It should work again, please let me know if you run into any problems.

Links through http://pub.elowar.com/AmigaDev/ will no longer work. People had 2 years to update their bookmarks.

p.s. I'm glad to hear that some people actually use it and find it useful.
