Matt Chat 47: Quest for Glory

Hi guys, Matt is sulking at the moment because of some vile Atari users and the firm but fair policy on posting in the wrong section here at EAB.
To make a long story short, here is his latest video about the Quest for Glory adventures from Sierra. Enjoy.

[ Show youtube player ]

@Matt: Don't make me do this again.

(Btw, I'm a big fan of Sierra adventures and own the QfG Anthology. )

great episode as always. I wonder if you could get the sierra woman to interview someday !

I so wanted to get into this game, but never had the time. I'll definitely do it someday (on the miggy) .

Women! There was quite a lot of girls at Sierra. Jane Jensen, Roberta Williams, Leslie Balfour (not to mention the chicks at Larry and Space Quest ).

Interview anybody at Sierra really, I'd love to hear some personal insights from any of those pure gaming geniuses. Excellent idea!

I still have to play this game myself, but I think I'll go for the VGA version. Dunno, I like the old command interpreted games as well...

Great video as usual. I always found very peculiar the EGA style colour in all Sierra adventure games, even on the Amiga. They always used the same graphics for all platforms, not optimizing and using the advantages of each platform, ending all with that EGA-DOS look. That was what always put me a bit off on Sierra games, besides Leisure Suit Larry because of the large quantity of b***s in the game.
Lucas games are the opposite of that statement using the best available graphics of each platform.

One of the best game I Played. Sûre its not Amiga standard but the adventure was very rewarding. I've not been very far on the sequel, does anybody enjoyed it?

I'd love to interview someone at Sierra, but it's my understanding that most of them are very reclusive. Obviously Roberta Williams would be the biggest draw, but I'd love to chat with Jane Jensen or Lori Ann Cole. If anyone knows them or how to contact them, let me know. It might be worth a shot.

What was the exact definition of "reclusive" again?

Al Lowe seems to enjoy interviews. And how about the two guys from Andromeda?

Whoa! thanks for the head's up, gilgamesh. I sometimes find sites like that, but usually there are no email addresses or any obvious way to contact the people. I'm a big fan of the GK series and would love to chat with Jane Jensen. That'd be fantastic!

Finally. Al Lowe at least has enough sense to make it easy to contact him! I'll go ahead and invite him; I'm sure he'd be a very funny person to interview.
