Hardware: PPC-Processor in Amiga 2000
"Two users proved that it is possible to equip an Amiga 2000 with a PPC-processor. A video with different solutions and formats is available (see link below) where the installation and the use of the PPC is demonstrated."

Seen something like this before. But the 2060 card is rare and expensive and the PowerUp Developer board is like rocking horse poo, they are never sold and if they did sell they would go for well over the price of a CSPPC+A4000 or BPPC+A1200.
You'd be mad to buy a Zorro-II non AGA machine for more than a Zorro-III AGA one. |

Its just a proof of concept. The Developer Board could also work in a B1260. Anyone?

A2000 rules. The most versatile classic Amiga ever.. Especially with a 2040/60 card!
So bad this PPC won't fit to the A2000's box... |

Hello there, Welcome to the EAB, I am sure you will like it here... normally I would have quite a bit to say (ask P-J) but I have to admit... the A2000 you have there is that f*cking amazing! I am speachless!! *very long pause!* fancey helping me develop a PPC for the A600 ? LOL no... really it should be done LOL irrespective of what auction price that a2000 is worth.... it seems to me to look quite priceless.... a job indeed, above and beyond! watch out for Paul_s, a member here... he is a bit.... *ahem* passionate and affectionate of the A2000..... he may try and make off with it.... wich i couldn`t blame him for LOL... I have to admit.... its awesome to know that this A2000 can spank both of my power miggys butt in Quake.... mentioning PPC's though, why didn`t they make more powerfull x86's as well.... that would of been cool now i may be back later..... but right now i have some hardware pr0n to lookie at |

I am still here. I've been dribbling over this particular 2000 for a long time now - it's just awesome.
I have actually been missing my 2000 i sold a few months ago - infact I kinda regret letting her go I want to replace her with another big box miggy but not sure which. 3000 would be nice but the 2000 was just so damn uber cool in the looks department and had the build quality of a bomb |

Our Doomy, who art in Amigadom
Hallowed by thy Amiga 2000 Thy OCS chipset be done Thy will be mil-spec On earth as it is inside the A2000 Give us Kickstart 1.3 our daily screen And forgive us our look unto the AGA chipset as we forgive those who use OS4 And lead us not into temptation to use any other Amiga but deliver us from the non-mil-spec-Amiga's For thine is the A2000, the mil-spec-power-supply and the glory. for ever and ever. Amen |
