Contacting someone I've never spoken to before and asking them to crack a game for me.. that might be stretching it
I'll have the floppies in a few days (hopefully).. we'll see then. |

I never understood the fuzz about Last Ninja games. They are all very much arse.
The Archimedes is a machine I would like to try someday! |

Little cheer up for laffer :
I've played the first part of Last Ninja on my C64 and liked it. It was too hard for me (like most games ), but atmosphere was nice and the different weapons added much to it. Can understand you like Last Ninja |

There are several good emulators out there - being a classic RISC cpu & the chipset not being as complex as the Amiga's a few people have had a go. If you decide to get into hardware feel free to PM me for advice. Hmmm, possibly a point of controvicy: I think it's fair to say that C= would have gone under much faster if it hadn't been propped-up by its UK & German divisions... ...Acorn's series of computers were a major threat to C= especially in the UK. Us Amiga fans probably owe Acorn a debt of gratitude for their policy of stupidly overpricing their kit. C= dying much sooner would have lost us some very interesting developments... ...what would the Amiga-scene be like today if it had all stopped with the A500/A2000, maybe A3000? |

If the A3010 had come out 3 years earlier (big if) then it could have given the Amiga a run for it's money. |

Last Ninja has been dumped since 2006, but from the copy we have we cant tell how genuine it is, and more copies are needed. Support for creating IPFs of non-amiga games is being done as i type this, but it's completion date ultimately rests on IFW, and Archimedes is one of the supported formats. also, once Archimedes IPFs exist, we have already been offered support by an archimedes emu author. so please do feel free to dump this game! the only snag is, if the disk is high density, you will need a genuine HD amiga drive to dump it. |

could still be HD (but unlikely). if you have a look there are both DD and HD versions of Lotus 2 dumped. unless it was DD on an HD disk....

You'd need an Amiga to dump it using SPS tools wouldnt you?
I think that Archimedes LN would make the perfect entry for IPF into the Archie scene as it obviously from its scarcity that it was never cracked and never dumped to ADF. Last edited by alexh; 28 May 2008 at 18:51. |

Out of interest, what is the best emulator for the Archimedes these days. It's been years since I tried them.

I'm using Arculator, works pretty well. Unfortunately no joystick support, but you could use joytokey.

I never used a joystick at school playing on the Archie's all day long, so I don't see why I should start now

Arculator or Red Squirrel, RS hasn't been updated in ages though, but it's good to have both emus handy.
