It's been 15 Years, just bought an A1200!

Hi everybody. I have just bought a mint Amiga 1200 and I am interested in getting the most out of it and would like to do some upgrades. Can anyone point me in the right direction of a guide or explain what can be done.

What are the benefits of an accelerator and what would be the advantages of extra RAM?. I would like to play games from a CF card!

Any input would be really appreciated.

CF HDD is very beneficial, however, basic trapdoor ram costs a bomb and i hope you have deep pockets if you want an accelerator!

I bought myself an ACA 1231 accelerator a couple of months ago. It has transferred my A1200 and made it a much more useable machine. I'm actually posting this from my A1200. I've been getting by with a 40MB internal drive and like you I have just ordered a 4GB CF card from Amiga kit.

Enjoy.

For OS4 I's suggest looking for a Sam440/60 or AmigaOne as you'll have a far better experience.

The good news if you do plan to upgrade that Motherboard has been tested and working with Blizzard 1230/Blizzard 1240/Apollo 1240/Blizzard PPC 040, Blizzard PPC 060 & BVision
