Amiga Game Engine 1.1
Hi
I have just been reminded of this entity from back in the day, I had totally forgotten about it. I have been looking for an .adf of it and had no joy. It's here on the coverdisk: http://amr.abime.net/issue_240_coverdisks Did anyone have a go with it? What were your results like? |

I think this may be the holy grail for Amiga game makers
But yeah, if anyone out there has a copy I would love to have a blast with this. |

Is that the full version or just the demo that was featured on the CUAmiga coverdisk?

I think may be the demo. The SS has a reference to CUCD23:
Does the one on the cover disk have version 1.0 on it? |

Just a quickie (in middle of cooking LOL). I had Reality Game Engine on CU Amiga CD-Rom 23 (issue 100) and I always thought/assumed this was the full version. I've got the iso of the disk on my external HD somewhere. On checking archive.org (scanned issue of CU Amiga) I can't find any reference to this being a demo. Also, at the CU Amiga website there is a patch for Reality Game Engine that "fixes a few problems".
Is the above what you guys already have? Btw forgot to mention - this version is AGA only. Last edited by quahappy; 04 June 2015 at 21:19. |

anyways this engine like backbone do not support AGA it seems only support 64 colors ( half brite) for a game engine which supports AGA there is a project on youtube I saw it last month |

stupid bug have this package the game works fast at full screen seems is working at 50 fps btw, the engine seems is AGA because I changed in winuae chipset to ECS and not worked, it crash also when you created the disks using amiga format disks, says the engine is for AGA chipset however I wonder if the games created runs only on AGA and if you can make games in 256 colors? |

I looks like a very limited engine, you can change the graphics but not much in the gameplay department, only lives-speed-etc. At least this is true in this demo version.
It looks way faster than backbone. My conclusion is that you have to program a game yourself to get what you want. Code=power. |

I think you're right nobody, I really want to learn Amos Pro but I am completely baffled as to where to start despite owning a boxed copy with a manual, it's just so daunting and confusing!
But yes, programming your own engine is the way to go |

for the Amiga yes is better to code because the game-making packages are very lame, yet no one supports AGA or is fast enough to play a game full of gfx+ music at descent framerates but for for PC and other plarforms you don't need to code, there are excellent programs to make your own games like Unity |

Yes, I mean for the Amiga. I have used Gamemaker for the P.C and had some nice results but I wish to create a game for Amiga
