AHI under amiga DOS

Hi guys,
could AHI be used under amiga dos ??
Or does it need wb absolutely ??
could it be possible to make an enhanced rom3.1 with ahi in there ??

AHI doesn't need Workbench, no. A few commands in the startup-sequence or user-startup are enough. As for putting it in ROM, I'm not so sure. There are extra conditions that code needs to meet that makes it suitable for putting in a ROM, and I don't really think AHI has that, though I could be wrong. Besides, it still needs drivers for the various sound cards which would normally be loaded from disk, so there doesn't seem to be a great advantage from having it in ROM.

Yep, AHI in ROM doesn't make much sense.
